Rosenworcel Asks Enforcement Bureau to Probe WiFi Blocking

September 28, 2016–FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel says she has asked the Enforcement Bureau to probe a situation at this week’s presidential debate at Hofstra University where technicians shut down journalists’ Wi-Fi hotspots and required them to pay to use the university’s service. The FCC has said that parties can’t block Wi-Fi signals in an effort to earn revenues from their own service.
