Munich Conference Topics – Internet of Public Safety Things

Mr Ali Helenius from AIRBUS will speak about the Potential uses and benefits of 5G & IoT for Public Safety and the related challenges: What do we mean by the Internet of Things and what are the typical use cases? M. Helenius will discuss the benefits and challenges of IoT from different perspectives including the integration of telecoms and IT, IoT vs standardization as well as potential use cases in mission critical communication. Furthermore M. Helenius will speak about the mega technology ecosystems shaping the future and explain 5G key content.

Mr Ivan Gojmerac from the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) will discuss IoT for Crisis & Disaster Management: Hot topics and Future Impact: Recently, the Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as one of the most exciting ICT topics as it holds the promise of applicability to many different fields, i.e., smart cities, smart buildings, smart farming, smart mobility, etc. In this talk, Mr Gojmerac will discuss the current challenges of IoT-enabled public safety use cases and highlight the interoperability and command & control barriers which have to be overcome in order to put IoT solutions into productive use in the coming years.

Training Centre Guided Tour. The event is organized with the support of the Bavarian Red Cross which will take conference participants on a free guided tour to a rescue simulation centre in the vicinity of Munich before the conference, on May 4th in the late afternoon. The visit will be followed by a networking dinner in a typical bavarian “Biergarten”.
