NG-911 Grant Funding Allocations Announced

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration today announced preliminary funding allocations for $109.25 million in next-generation 911 (NG-911) grants. Designated grant recipients now must file complete applications by April 2. The preliminary funding allocations range from $127,349 to the Nisqually Indian Tribe to $10.5 million to the state of California.  “Modernizing our 911 call centers so they have access to the latest technologies will help emergency responders quickly get help where and when it is needed,” said NTIA Administrator David Redl. “In an emergency, the public safety community must have every tool at its disposal to keep Americans safe.”
