APCO Seeks Project 43 Volunteers

The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials-International today asked for volunteers to serve on working groups that have been established for its new Project 43, which will assess the implications to public safety answering points (PSAPs) of broadband services.

“We need the help of you and your colleagues to sort through the implications of broadband on PSAPs, specifically focusing on cybersecurity, governance, operations, staffing, technical and training,” Steven Proctor, managing chair of Project 43, said in an e-mail from APCO. “Please consider volunteering for the working group that best aligns with your background, skills and interests. The deadline to apply is March 21.”
