S&T Media Advisory: DHS S&T to Hold Industry Day With New R&D Opportunities for Financial Services Sector Cybersecurity Protections

WASHINGTON—The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP) will host an industry day to connect technology startups and investors to new opportunities for research and development of cybersecurity active defenses for the nation’s financial services sector critical infrastructure.

DHS S&T SVIP offers funding for early-stage startups with commercial technologies that are adaptable and capable to protect the homeland. This event will provide information about the SVIP program and its unique Innovation Other Transaction Solicitations funding mechanism to participating organizations and professionals. It also will enable tech professionals from Silicon Valley and other innovation hubs arounds the country to engage with members of DHS S&T and familiarize themselves with the technological needs of DHS and operators of the nation’s critical infrastructure.
