A task force put together by technology sector trade group the Information Technology Industry Council said it forwarded a list of recommendations to the White House on how the federal government can improve its network security following the big data breaches reported earlier this year by the Office of Personnel Management.  The list of recommendations from the IT Alliance for Public Sector include items such as isolating sensitive or critical vulnerable systems, taking a risk-based approach to prioritizing actions, developing comprehensive plans, outlining cyber response best practices, and determining responsibility and accountability.
