The Policy and Licensing Division of the FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security released an order on October 14, 2015, that granted a waiver to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol of the freeze on 800 megahertz band inter-category sharing so it can license a business/industrial/land transportation (B/ILT) channel for public safety communications.
