An entity has been selected to administer the indoor 911 location accuracy test bed that will help implement the FCC’s 911 indoor location accuracy rules. Today’s announcement was made by the 9-1-1 Location Technologies Test Bed LLC, an independent entity established by CTIA. The administrator will be LCC Design Services, Inc. The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions, which had been selected as the project manager for the request for proposals (RFP) process to select an administrator, “continues to oversee test plan implementation carried out by the test bed administrator, LCC,” according to a news release. “The two-tiered partnership will ensure the test bed produces unbiased data in a timely manner for the various stakeholders in accordance with the FCC’s rule.”
