December 12, 2016–DISH Network Corp. today commended 3GPP for formally approving narrowband Internet of things support for Band 70. Band 70 already includes Dish’s AWS-4 and H-block spectrum and unpaired AWS-3 frequencies held by Dish-backed entities. “This latest milestone positions DISH to bring new wireless broadband capacity as well as connectivity for the next generation of IoT devices in the coming 5G ecosystem,” said Tom Cullen, Dish’s executive vice president-corporate development.
