FCC’s PSHSB Releases PN re Administration of VHF, UHF, and 700 MHz Interoperability Channels

Today, the FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau released a Public Notice regarding the administration of the VHF, UHF and 700 MHz interoperability channels (800 MHz NPSPAC mutual aid channels are administered by the Regional Planning Committees).

In the Public Notice, the FCC provides that (1) states may update their elections to administer the 700 MHz narrowband interoperability channels and (2) elect to administer railroad police use of the VHF and UHF interoperability channels.  States may delegate administration to the relevant regional planning committees.
