The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau (EB) is meeting with industry and public-safety stakeholders to discuss its proposed process for escalating and responding to public-safety interference complaints before it finalizes the new model. The project concerns how the commission receives, tracks and responds to interference complaints. Last year, the EB announced a plan to close 11 field offices but to also respond to public-safety spectrum complaints within one day. Under the plan, the EB established complaint escalation procedures to ensure that critical public-safety and industry interference issues are addressed in a timely manner.
