House Hearing Set on First Responder Communications

The House Homeland Security Committee’s emergency preparedness, response, and communications subcommittee plans to hold a hearing Thursday on first responder communications. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in Room 210 of the House Capitol Visitor Center. The scheduled witnesses are Ron Hewitt, director of the Office of Emergency Communications at the Department of Homeland Security; Ed Parkinson, director-government affairs for the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet); and Mark Goldstein, director-physical infrastructure issues for the Government Accountability Office.
