October 12, 2016–The Next Generation 911 Institute has announced its board members. Current board Chair Mary Boyd of West Safety Systems was reelected as a member-at-large.  Also reelected were Angel Arocho of Comcast Corp., Don Brittingham of Verizon Communications, Inc., and Joe Marx of AT&T, Inc.  Joining the board as a member-at-large was Lynn Shapiro Starr of Motorola Solutions, Inc.  Meanwhile, Sen. Cory Booker (D., N.J.) and Rep. Filemon Vela (D., Texas) have joined the NG9-1-1 Caucus, which the institute supports.
